JANUARY 19, 2010…A luscious combination, wine and chocolate tasting, will be offered at a Holiday Inn Grand Haven/Spring Lake special event to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore. Inn coordinators have paired celebration wines (reds, whites, sparkling) and microbrew beers with an outstanding array of chocolate confections and bakery items from Jack’s talented chef Jeremiah Brunker. The event, scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2010, will take place in the Grand Ballroom and will also feature chef’s signature appetizers, live entertainment by TWO DUDES IN FLIP FLOPS, silent auction and more.
Love, Wine & Chocolate, set for 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., $30 per person in advance and $35 at the door. Tickets are available at the Holiday Inn front desk until the day of the party. Benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore, each ticket will provide support for the charity’s unique and important programs.
“We are proud to be able to honor Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore with this important event,” said Herder. Our community outreach goals match their fine work with young people and their families.”
Added Marian McDermed, Development Director for the charitable organization, “Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore served 400 West Michigan children in mentoring matches in 2009. It is the partnership with donors, volunteers and the community that helps children reach their potential, and through them, we transform families, schools and the places we all live.”
